Description: ESOL instruction has long focused on practical life skills such as filling out a job application or making a doctor’s appointment, but what about when these tasks go digital? There are countless employment, government, and educational resources available online, and they are inaccessible to ESOL learners who lack digital literacy. In this workshop, we will discuss the various elements of digital literacy and have hands-on practice with instructional techniques for teaching basic digital skills. Participants will also learn ways to seamlessly integrate digital literacy into their existing lessons.
